I think that Leo is more willing to play in pain than to get a surgery.Which means that regardless he gets fully healed or not,he will play

Barcelona would still have dominated without Messi, due to the insane generation of Xavi, Iniesta, Pique, Alves and other world class stars, but probably not to the degree of "best team ever" talk that surrounded Pep's team (in which Messi shined the brightest). Imo, Messi wasn't the element that made Barcelona a great team. He was the element that made us more than a "normal" great team though, a team that will be talked about for generations to come.

Without messi current barca wouldnt be this successful and if he was developing at any other club his legacy wouldnt be that big. Iniesta and Xavi, best midfield combination ever. He was lucky to have them and we were lucky to have messi.

You're right all elements had to combine in order for the outcome to be special like that Barca team
