I looked at his stats today and saw 41 goals. 41 fucking goals! Being injured for two months, and it doesn't actually feel like he scored so many. It's insane to think a sub-50 campaign for Messi is "meh."

Totally agree. Forty-one goals at the highest level of football is an unreal feat, one some of the best strikers achieve only at their peak. And yet with Messi it does feel like this season he didn't score much.

Most of His goal's came when we were Down 0-1 or At a stalemate .. some of his goal's were so crucial to us.

Goal vs Malaga in a match we were totally outplayed by them .
Goal vs Atleti in Calderon and camp Nou when Atm was leading. ,
Vs Sevilla ,again we were 0-1 Down. ,
Equalizer vs Celta In Camp Nou .. I would Prefer Messi turning up In Such Situations rather than pointless 60 goal's which count's for nothing in the end ... !

Masch is the only argentinian compatriot and dani is one of leo's best friends, not to mention his closest partner in the field.

No.Messi has been here for so long and he had seen players come and go and many was really close friends like Pinto,Deco,Ronaldinho & Cesc.

Why would it unsettle Messi? He was in Barça long before dani or masch were signed. And his closest friend now seems to be Suarez.

Let's hope it doesn't as you say but the thing is that both of them will leave and shittalk the board to messi all the time, it's not that farfetched to think that messi may be thinking that barca's board haven't helped him with taxes at all and there was the panama scandal.

Messi lost many friends over the years and every time, people thought it would upset him and he'd play worse, but it never did. He's a professional and he will cope with it, and on top of that, as Flavia said, his 2 best friends are up front and going nowhere.

imo at least 60% to Barças success is to the chemistry in the team. Yes every our player is world class, but other teams have world class players too. But I don't think there's this sense of unity and understanding like there's here. Yes there could be younger, faster, better stat-wise players than Iniesta, Dani & Mascherano. But no one will ever have that level of integration (whoever we buy this summer, he won't have that ad fast as we'd like).

Of course it would have an impact on Messi. He and Alves basically grew and matured together on that right side.

Our team was carefully built over years and it's awful seeing it shed like this in one afternoon.
