Lets assume its just a strategy to get the board out and its great news.
Messi pressuring should get the crooks out and make him an even bigger barca legend. It would save us years.

How can you call Messi a dick for leaving, looking at the state of the club and how it went downwards last years. The club gave him everything but he also gave everything for the club. It's not fair to let him carry the team again. The board said they won't resign now because you have to wait for the results of the season, but it's not only about this summer. Everybody who follows Barcelona knows that. And people are not happy about it. It would be difficult to see Messi leaving, but you can only blame the board imo. Messi has his own life also and needs to do what's the best for him. His football carreer is not going to continue forever.

And Messi didn't sign his extension because they didn't find the right time yet is just bullshit. He's at the club alot so there would have been alot of moments he could have signed the paper. He didn't sign it because there are issues and he doesn't want to sign what's put on paper.

If Messi ever leaves, expect Bartomeu to be shot dead by fans. It will be bloody and violent. Messi should just publicly announce that if the board stays, he will leave.

Considering the fees seen this summer. Why is Messi going to sign a new contract? It would be stupid of him to sign one now, imagine how much he could demand as a signing fee.

If Messi runs down his contract, he could easily get 3 years of his current contract value just as a signing fee, unless he wants to lose hundreds of millions of euros, signing now would be a bad idea.

The terms are already agreed.

I just can't believe how stupid the socis are. They had the chance to elect a better board at the last election but they still chose Bartomeu when everyone knows that he's just like Rosell.

We won the treble plus Laporta ran a piss weak campaign. It's as if he was going through the motions. Laporta shouldn't run again. Benedito and Font should be the front runners.

The socis seem to be a real submissive, complacent lot. The atmosphere at the stadium is a good example. Even Xavi said if we had the sort of support Liverpool, Dortmund or Celtic have we would have more trophies.

Back in the gaspart era the socios seemed tougher than the weak lot they are nowadays.
Worst case scenario is if Messi signs the contract without trying to get the board out and barto staying.

If that had any significance the contract would have already been signed, i.e. if Messi was happy with everything, why does he appear to be running down the contract?

Probably wants to know what he is signing up for as lot has changed since agreed.

Even the wages have changed in a way as doesn't make him highest paid in world now with Neys contract at PSG.

In an interview with Sport that was published this morning (or yesterday?) Bartomeu says that the contracts are signed, they just have to do a photo session, but it wasn`t the right time.
Journalist asks him how is it possible they didn`t have the time to have a photo session in two months and his answer is some crap that no one would believe to be true. I hope that he didn`t lie that the contracts are signed, but the question remains that if the contracts really are signed, why doesn`t Messi want to do that photo session and be done with it? Is it some kind of an internal power struggle or what the hell is going on. Pretty weird situation.
