As much as anything Messi himself, Suarez and to a lesser extent Neymar have gone missing at crunch times in CL the past couple seasons.

Agree, Messi has probably been surrounded by better players throughout out his club career than any of the other all time greats

2016 we had a good chance to repeat the CL. MSN was still firing on all cylinders before going missing in april. definitely would have beat that year's madrid that fluked the CL.

Team was just burned out and we should have crushed Atletico in first game but missed huge chances. After dropping from CL we won pretty much every game

You are the expert on loads of shit so probably you are right, now I'll have to go and rethink my opinion.

Because having to play the same XI almost every game has had no impact on our ability to perform throughout the season, lucho rotating with shit like Gomes in games we dropped points in didn't play it's part in us losing out in la liga

I wonder what those boys over in the capital who as been winning everthinh over the past few years,and with a next to perfect squad think of that, especially now that they have lost so much quality in there squad due to allowing James and morata to leave and are feeling the effects of not really having much outside of ascensio to help them rotate like they use to.

The front three basically refused to rest and sulked like fuck if even taken off early.

True that Messi should have done better but it's also true that barca conceded 4 goals against PSG and 3 against Juventus. We had the quality to win it in 2016, surely not in 2017.

Barca were not an inferior side than Real to any great degree last year.

Lucho made some strange tactical decisions and big players failed to perform but the quality was there to do better than losing 3-0 on aggregate to Juve without much of a whimper.
