Brilliant finish. Saves us again and again. Out of words for him.
Chelsea completely outclassed Valverde tactically. Chelsea were the better team in both the legs. Only Real Madrid and Atletico. Juventus wasn't Juventus at all when we played them.

You see Mr Cruyff ,just because we didn't dominate possession it doesn't mean that we got dominated . What the fuck did we managed against such a compact defense back in 2012 ? . Valverede has made us comfortable defending without the ball and gave them the taste of their medicine by allowing them to attack us in camp Nou and Messi exploited the vast dimensions of camp nou when chelsea were attacking . check out demebelle's goal it came after a clearance from Umtiti of a Hazard shot
I'm not estimating based on possession. It's based on the clear cut chances. Chelsea had more clear cut chances. The difference in scoreline is because of the difference in the shot accuracy. Tactically, chelsea were better despite having inferior team to Barca.
From the goalkeepers angle it looked as though Denis was going to receive the ball and then immediately Messi pops up behind the line of sight. It might have given that split second doubt that caused the save to not happen. Who knows.
The fact he had enough time to get down and get a hand on it and the defenders and his reaction I think shows he could have done better.
Chelsea did not out class Barca ffs.
They had more shots in both legs and most were clear cut chances. They hit the woodwork twice in the first leg. Especially in the second game they had a number of dangerous opportunities right at our box that broke down at the last second (blocked shots, last ditch tackles/interceptions). They exploited the hell out of our flanks, mainly Roberto, and threatened us constantly. Barca were far more clinical, and that is 100% down to Messi. Dude had 4 total shots in both legs COMBINED and scored 3 goals from them.
Leo today was critical as always. That shot was perfectly hit and, no, the keeper should not have saved it (lol). Leo has the best technique at hitting shots from outside the box bar none. Only takes 1 small step to wind up, hits it low/hard to the corners and is almost always deadly accurate. He's the ONLY player I've ever seen so deliberately fool keepers on near post/far post placement time and time again. Even if its a miss, it often hits the woodwork or just barely grazes wide. No other player is as consistently threatening from distance, Coutinho comes close though. His 'effective' scoring range is the largest of any player, I'd wager he's more efficient and accurate with outside the box shots than Ronaldo is in the penalty area. He led Europe in goals from outside the box last season by FAR with like 15-17 or something, like 1/4 of his total seasons goals. He leads this year as well. Also lead Europe in hitting the woodwork last season and this season too (at an absurd rate this season).
