Yes the midfield were shit and so were Messi and Suarez who showed little work rate, movement off the ball.

If midfield is so poor they can still influence things by getting on ball more and taking game up pitch which they did fuck all and just strolled about losing the ball.

He is a one man team, thats why it is so easy to stop Barca. He didn't have one chance provided to him by the team, he needs support and Suarez hasn't the legs anymore, Roberto isn't a winger, Iniesta is past it, Dembele is on the bench. It is a team sport and Messi can't carry it on his back when we get to this stage, nobody can, he needs help and Valverde chose not to give him any.

Get on the ball how? Run into midfield and then what? There's no passes to play upfield if we're gonna clog the midfield with even more players. Our midfield is terrible and has to improve for next season, I'd also like us to play attacking football next season.
