Just saw his distance covered stats, he ran 8km like he runs 8km every match.
The fact that we lost 3-0 makes him look uninterested.

Frankly Ronaldo has great mental strength. He was 4-1 down in Ballon D'Ors (the trophy he cares most about), but he kept going year after year even though he was older than Messi by 2 years and theoretically has less chances to win with each passing year. He used to get criticized in almost every stadium he went to and didn't let it affect him. And his desire is also manifested not just in his mentality but in his approach on the pitch.
Messi has better technical skills (kinda superhuman tbh) but there are a fair few things he can learn from Ronaldo. Very likely now that Ronaldo gets his 6th Ballon D'Or unless Messi pulls a rabbit out of the hat at the World Cup.
Anyway, Messi was kinda anonymous today and I feel for him having such poorly performing teammates in the forward line and midfield. Griezmann would be a big upgrade over Suarez to begin with, so that's one thing that will help. Dembele hopefully better integrated next year, and Coutinho will be eligible too. I fear it may not be enough next year either (who will be the manager for example?) but atleast improved chances.

Never said they are guilty, its Valverde who is guilty for being a pussy and Ronaldo will collect his 6th ballon dor because of that.
Since 2012 he's only had one great Cl campaign.. That's unacceptable for a player of his caliber.. I really need him to have dominant Cl campaigns the next years.
I foolishly still have hope for the WC, even if they don't win I hope he turns up and performs and don't go out playing terribly like this.

one.of those games where he plays like he had terminal cancer.. he does those so rarely which means he was going to go ham in the semis.. not going to blame him.. one of those games where you cant blame anyone let alone our best player ever.
You people are so fickle with your hate towards Messi. You put Ronaldo in this Barcelona team and he wouldn't do anything. He gets all the support in that team, because Real Madrid actually have a good defence and midfield.

he is not into football anymore. His head is 100% on his family.
remember how he celebrated goals in earlier years? he has reached everything bar the WC and he also knows he will not win it in his life.
the only reason he still scores that much is his incredible talent and vision, but I cant remember a single game in the last 3 years (since the cl final) where I saw the bullterrier messi.
I think he really doesnt care anymore, he knows he hasnt the teammates to win it all again. He just waits for the ball to be at his feet and then he does the magic, but his off the ball movement is non existent. People always tell that cr7 scores tap ins, yes he does but in 99% Messi wouldnt be in that positions to score those tap ins.
I wouldnt say that his legacy is ruined but it def. took a hard knock because of so many factors especially all barca cl exits plus all the final losses with the NT

So he does run as I said.
8km jogging about and no movement off the ball or looked to improve tempo to get on it.
Doesnt move enough to get on ball and walks about too much unless finds it at his feet.
Could walk 8km in 90 mins easily anyway.

Don't think it will be enough in top level CL games as coutinho doesn't have the positional discipline to control the midfield and I doubt the club would change 2 of the 3 starting midfielders in a given summer.
real is simply a well oiled machine and there are no teams around with the sort of coherence in play, hunger, and firepower to beat them (Bayern I feel is also on its last legs and their defense issues with kimmich, hummels, boateng will be exposed sooner than later). Down times for barca fans and messi fans in all.
