Should have not played tonight. Tried too much to be the saviour and team mates were always trying to pass to him. We looked good after the equalizer and didn't need Messi.

Awful cameo. Looked like the most tired player out there from the minute he came on. Poor passing as well. His running with the ball has lost a step or two these last months, a shame. Also, our momentum (the little we had after the equalizer) was gone as soon as he entered the field. Not the other way around that was expected.

Errr you do realise he was up against Real Madrid? 20 odd minute cameo and he made a few good runs, one nearly going straight through the whole defence but for Varane.

Waste of a sub though, if he's fit enough for the bench then he should fucking start, binging him on when the team is struggling is just more taxing for him as his job is then lift the side.

He was decent enough considering his fitness. People are overreacting again in here, but that is nothing new.

He didn't care enough. Not sure if it was because he wanted to be more cautious with his conditions etc. or he was told to take it easy.

Perhaps he truly didn't care about this game and the copa. Let's hope he cares when the more important CL and league games come.

I feel like he was trying to do too much himself in his cameo.. had some great passing options but opted for a dribble/nutmeg. we played better as a team before he came on and i think the 2nd was coming as we had Madrid pinned back. obviously not fit

I fear that this is the Messi we’re gonna see when the going gets tough in the CL. Hopefully not but right now my money is on that unfortunately. And we can’t pass every single ball to him no matter what. It’s suicide.

Lol chill guys. When you come as a substitute is not always easy, sometimes it just doesn't happen to get in shape of the match. He should have played from first minute if he was 100%, but yeah, they know better.

If he.ll be fit, he will slay them in Bernaleo :)

Wasn't gonna exert himself too much today, he was playing weird vs Valencia too but I generally just think Leo performs better with Dembele on the RW than he does with Coutinho out there on the LW or Malcom/Aleña at LW. He already has Alba and Suarez to make runs on his left side, Dembele on his right helps balance things a lot more, as well as incorporate Semedo.

terrible yes.. and he fucked the team mentally because they stopped playing like a team when he came. solidarity was gone

Our team looked exhausted by the 70 minutes. They gave it all before Messi came and after that, they just looked tired. There was no offense after he came, I mean support.
