Somebody has mentioned that Barça is reminding him of Argentina and I agree. When the team's tactic is to play all balls to Messi and hope he scores, the opposing team's coach has an easy time planning for te match: just block all lanes to Messi and block his shots. That's what happened at the WC and that's happened today. Barça's coach should not make it so easy for the opponents to design the game plan!

According to @rac1, barca's 4 captains [Messi, busquets, pique and sergi] will hold a press conference tommorow to defend Ernesto Valverde after the defeat to Valencia.

is this about our players not being man enough to take a chance themselves OR is this by design? feed Messi and ignore other options.. if its by design we are a one hell of a mess

He played the best football of any individual this year. But football has 11 players, 14 with subs. Coaching and coherence too. Does cr get the blame for what 2 liga victories and one copa in 16 tries? I guess he also gets credit when the team secures the euros with his watching but not playing.

Messi isn't the problem. We have a manager, and a transfer guy. And a board above those. They need to do their job and get the right players and manager even if it risks an initial bad reaction from leo. This is why boards run clubs, not players making decisions about people they are too close to.

If Messi defends Valverde then he can fuck off with him. About time the club realised they are FC Barcelona, not FC Messi. Big decisions need to be made right now.

I dont buy for a 2nd messi is happy with all his teammates and parts of management. The dude is all about joyous and winning team football--he is very frustrated with club and country but in the end it is a 14+ player team and coaching matters too. One guy cant overcome 8-9 of your teammates getting your butt whipped.

VVD is not winning the Ballon d'Or, this has been one of Messi's best seasons, he has been head and shoulders above everybody, they got it wrong last year and they know it. They will make amends and give it to the right man.
