He's a Barca fan though. The Sneykes did it for money, Dembele did it because his dream club was after him. I don't think he'll pull that shit again for more money, but he might do it if our downward spiral on the pitch continues and he sees some other club as an upgrade from a footballing perspective.

Give him a 500m buyout clause.

So, basically, this is how negotiations went:

Barca's staff: We will give you 90M for Dembele.
Bvb: No. 150M.

Barca's staff: We will give you 100M for Dembele.
Bvb: No. 150M.

Barca's staff: We will give you 130M for Dembele.
Bvb: No. 150M.

Now Barto the master of negotiations steps in:
Barto: We will give you 145M.
Bvb: Ok. Accepted.

You can't mess with a mastermind Barto.
Barca offered 90M, BVB asked 150.
Then both sides made a compromise and we agreed a 145M deal :worthy: :bartomeu:

Barca changed their original offer for 55M.
Bvb lowered their original price for 5M.

neymar's father was too smart, dembele on the other hand was dumb enough to not to have a release clause and salary way beyound his skills. What dortmund say the player he is and demanding accordingly, they sure as hell were not paying him accordingly.

Dembele is a good dribbler in open space, while in tight spaces, he can't even dribble Rafinha once. in additon, he is much better on RW than LW or free role.

70-80 m euros is good number for Dembele, but 150 m euros is too much. if Barca pays so much, every club will ask double numbers for their players when Barca comes.

When Salzburg wanted him, he did the same. we can't say if he will do the same when PSG will come for him in 2-3 years.

He earns 2 m euros with taxes in Dortmund.

Isn't he ambidextrous?

Also, the entire reason he cost so much is because it was late in the window, we were desperate and we had money. If anything this means our targets will cost less from now on as a big chunk of the Neymar money is gone.

Whoever Barca signs, will be a downgrade to Neymar. let's accept it first. The problem is midfield. if Barca can't fix it, we can forget the Champions League. so Messi should forget Golden ball.

l'm saying that spending big money on a player who is better at RW than LW, plays in a team where he can enjoy big amount of space, without fixing the midfield is wrong.
