Faceless

No more faces at night
Valverde: Dembélé? "He's been injured for a long while and in these instances a coach prefers to play with players he knows. Vidal gave us solutions."

Nothing about the diet.

Vidal gave us solutions? How to fuck up in the final third in a different way?

We better not get this shit when playing Girona

good that he didn't played, too serious match for someone coming back from two injuries, out of form and not compatible with the rest of the squad

They figured out a problem in his diet. No need to risk him in that game after he hasn't played on the weekend. Better fix his nutrition in order to not getting injured again. He'll get his minutes when the risk declined.
Where did you get that information about his diet? First thing I heard about it.

MD or Sport wrote about it a week or so ago. He used to eat lots of fastfood when his friends visited him. The club has hired someone who prepares meals for him at home in the same way they do it at the training ground.

What do you expect him to say? "The situation in our squad is shit. Coutinho is cup-tied, Dembélé is injured all the time and Paulinho plays like in his best Tottenham days. Vidal is shit too, but still better then the rest of the shit."

Yes, the only focus for him must be to get in form for the 2nd leg. He has the qualities we need to beat the likes of Chelsea.

Must really sting when you see Vidal being preferred over you. I mean, it would be understandable if Vidal is playing well, but when he's just a headless chicken out there, you must really wonder wtf is going on.

It's odd, but there has to be a good reason.

Gonna be nervous watching him from now on actually, hope he gets a chance to properly integrate into the team asap and the injuries don't become a recurrent pattern

We shouldn't be starting Vidal/Gomes/Paulinho anymore.

Our next 4 games before the 2nd leg against Chelsea are:

Girona (H)
Las Palmas (A)
Atletico (H)
Malaga (A)

Start him and give him around 60 minutes against Girona and Las Palmas. Then play him the full 90 against Atletico to let him feel what a high pressure, high stakes game is. 70 minutes vs Malaga and then the full 90 against Chelsea.

Our CL hopes higne on integrating him and it would be wise do it ASAP, if Valverde thinks he can get by and win the CL with our team as it is currently assembled he's out of his mind.

There's no telling whether Dembele is going to play well for us this season, but it's surely worth a shot trying to integrate him rather than playing Gomes/Paulinho/Vidal in big CL games.

Nothing is going on except that he showed nothing promising so far. And that's why he should be given some oportunities in the easy games because the fella has untapped potential. Until he is given chances, and when he does take them, then the logical option is vidal or semedo or even gomes.
