During the game against Sevilla, when Messi got injured, Dembélé had not yet tied his boots when Valverde called him to come on, this not only caused the anger of Valverde, but it also caused anger from his teammates. It took 10 minutes for him to come on. [SPORT]

He should have started his warmup as soon as Messi went down. This guy has the worst attitude on the team and has been terrible four games in a row but his fanboys on here still blaming Valverde and saying he's a future Ballon d'Or winner....

There are literally no fanboys left. Dembele has clearly disappointed many.

He didn't comb his hair, his boots were untidy, he was chewing gum, he wore too much cologne, the list goes on and on. SELL.

You dont get much success in CL without true DM, so you either accept that and get one, or you wait until that new great generation, with 2 best midfielders ever and best player ever to win it, 2 in 4 years, until then watching your club going out against decent counter attacking teams in K.O. phase

We need to stop signing low IQ players like Dembele, Semedo, and Umtiti

And sign germans instead :D

Umtiti for me is a smart player good reading of the game. Malcom God knows when he will get a game so that's up in the air, Dembele for me has that low football IQ vibe about him I agree.

He never seems focused and is probably thinking about how much time is left in the game so he can go home and eat McDonalds already.

Think we should simply forget then meme of "Busquet's role", "Xavi role" etc. The future midfield will be different in nature with entirely new roles. Trying to shoehorn every future player in a role from our classical team isn't constructive. I think Arthur and De Jong have some similar traits and some that would complement each other, but they are not as different as Xavi, Iniesta and Busi were with each having very distinct role. Maybe they can play as a double pivot with Coutinho as an AM/SS in front of them. De Jong would probably be in more advanced role as he has already proven to be good at driving the ball vertically forward and keen on giving line breaking passes. Funny, he seems to be even almost keen to do them, even when as simpler approach would be more productive. Backpass merchant and forward pass merchant would be nice balanced combo and they are both good defensively. I'm tired of this idea that we need a "baby sitter". Those two will be beasts at high pressing so we shouldn't have to hope for 'new Rakitic'. I hope we never need Rakitic type of player. Everyone should be fairly good at defensive duties and intense pressing needs to come back.

Dude let's get married

Umtiti is smart but lazy as shit though. A number of times we concede chances/goals where he's walking or barely jogging.

His defending for Dzeko's goal last season was criminal, he literally just walked back and let Dzeko have free 1v1

I think we can see that Valverde is in the process of sticking to his "low-risk" 11 for the rest of the season. In essence it is an Aragones Spain 2008 type of 442 with plenty of possession and the goals left to individual creations of Messi, Suarez and Coutinho. With the other 7 popping with goals here and there.

So the question is, if Dembele doesn't get another starting role this season, do we consider a loan next year and bring him back when Valverde is gone or just sell and stop our losses?

Any one have any good examples of players who didn't initially settle, got loaned then come back as starter?

Off the top of my head Casemiro. James could be that if he wants a return. Any others?

Vidal warm up and yet not used in some of the games. Dembele lose the respect on Valverde, this is some kind of rebellious attitude.
