I thought he played well. Definitely better in passing; couple of great shots and good deicision making overall. A great delivery from a corner too. On a good day he gets an assist today.

Malcom in 15 minutes did a better job. He looked more confident; scored a goal; had a nice cross. Malcom seems more of a Pedro type of player, someone who can stick to the plan and make the manager happy

Malcom in 15 minutes did better job than anyone. And the whole post is just a bullshit statement, did Dembele not look confident? He didn't have nice crosses? Literally shitting on Dembele for no reason, he had a great game no matter how much you hate him.

He was honestly garbage. One good cross, one good pass and one good corner doesn't change that he was mediocre for 70+ minutes.

Like come on people. You gotta have better standards than that. I know he's young and all that, but burying your head in the sand is not the right move.

His sheer pace always means there's a chance something can happen, but his decision making is pretty non existent.

He was decent today. 2 chances saved by Handa and one by Suarez and was pretty involved in the overall play. I also think that him not countering is a coach's decision. He was criticised for giving the ball away, so he decided to play it safe.

What are you talking about??? He absolutely wasn't. He played responsibly and did tactically fine. He had a few mistakes but so did others. He had a good game.

Tactically fine when he had acres of space and could have stretched the field by playing closer to the flank, which btw Malcom did right away when he came in, isn't what I call being good tactically. He also had several chances of making a run behind the defence on counters or 3v4 situations and ran into Suarez' space instead.

Anyway, garbage is a hyperbole, but he was mediocre for sure IMO.

That is exactly what I meant in my Pedro vs. Di Maria example. They way to succeed at Barca is to either be a Goat or Tactically Excellent. Dembele is neither. Dembele seems a Di Maria and Malcom more of a Pedro

I was a big defender of his but i have to admit.. the guy just doesn't have the intelligence to play in a Barca system. the Dortmund move came way too early and he needs a manager whos willing to work with him more instead of EVs laid back approach. he'll end up a world beater but not at Barca imo

Mbappe, who everyone compares him to, has that intelligence already

Malcom deserves his chance now

In this case... When his performance at one night has up and down, you can see that which one of you are just hater or pessimistic and which one aren't. Otherwise he had both good and bad moments that i can't completely praise or blame for.

His positional play is managers decision not his. Malcom is completely diferent player, more direct but also more one-dimensional type of player. They both did good today and we should have won comfortably if we haven't missed all those chances. Many of you are just overreacting as usual.

to me, he just seemed lazy

he pulled a messi, in the sense that he faked jogged on defensive transitions, barely pressed when coutinho and suarez were asking for it and didn't even play to his strong suit.. he was shit on the counter.
i can deal with bad form but the way he presents himself comes off as shitty attitude hopefully it's just an aesthetic thing but he needs to improve if he wants to earn a starting spot.

if he's going to act like messi on the field he needs to pull magic outta his ass like messi or this shit wont fly

Inconsistency is unacceptable. There is a floor that Barca players do not go below even when they are underperforming; cannot say the same about Dembele

with the problem of agency (fanboy vs hater) there is always a solution.. go ahead and read reviews of the game in the chats from other forums.. someone in redcafe described dembele as being inters third best player today.
