Ok, since we are still in Winter break (at least for the club) and before the tension of the games is back again, I've to say this.
I've never seen a player that I fail to make a judgement over long period of time like this guy. Every now and then I am between he is the next big thing or he is gonna fail us badly. His style is a bit unique and somewhat weird tbh which make it tough to make a comparison based on previous talents.

The next manager we'll get will be really important in whether he develops into a World Class player for us or goes somewhere else and does his thing.

Yeah, I hope he at least continue to be scoring threat. If he takes that alone from EV time here it is huge development for him in 2 seasons.

precisely the kind of poise and calculated danger we have been missing in the big champions league ties.
We had Jara who liked to put his finger in people's assholes. But this absolute madlad uses fireworks instead.

Our big problem in the CL has been the squad so tired and defense poor by march/april that we have leaked 3-4 goals to opponents that except for PSG are really not that explosive. Besides, Barca has had one of the better CL records and been typically one of the best group stage teams, too often peaking early, fading late, not that CL is somehow a mysteriously different type of football match.

Exactly. It isn't that Barca hasn't played the highest level of football for most of the past 6 years, you just have to look at La Liga record and even the overall record against Real to judge that (probably the next best team generally over that period), it is that too often Barca played its best football Sep-Feb, not after Feb. Lack of rotation--HUGE.
