Nice volley. Movement and combinations were top class, but was dispossessed every time he tried to dribble.

Plenty of things to like for this guy.

- class mentality
- speed
- balls
- directness
- powerful and precise shooting
- workrate in defense (guy is not a lazy type who think defending is beneath him)
- eye for pass

Some areas to improve will probably be to gain a bit of finesse of touch. He is more power than finesse and technique, but playing for a team used to face low blocks, he will have to also develop the finesse part of his game.

Huh? He had like one action where he dribbled. There was no need to force the dribble because the Inter Miami players were poorly positioned and a pass was always on almost.

We'll see about his dribbling and take-on ability when we'll play a better team.

You are seeing too much...

He looked a bit erratic when receiving the ball.
Always looked to play one touch pass to someone near him, some of them way off, and when that was not always necessary...
He didn't try to carry the ball apart from 1 or 2 runs which were horizontal, and not vertical.

Until I see him gliding past opponents, like Dembele did for fun in the 2nd half, he is below him in the pecking order for RW

Gliding past opponents? He would be dumb to do that. We didn't brought him to be flashy. We brought him to be composed, aggressive and a constant danger.

If anything his attempted dribbles should go down compared to his Leeds days.

Dembele is hit and miss. Loses the ball for fun. This guy is better passer but also good at keeping the flow of the game and not being a ball hog.

If he can receive the ball and consistently find solutions in the short space then I'll consider that a win. Guys like Ferran and Malcom could surprise you with excellence but be more hit than miss when pressed.

Talking of right wingers, Porto signed Gabriel Veron for 10m, to be paid over 3 years. There was a guy on here who used to keep suggesting we sign him a few years back.

Fell off the map these past seasons and there are now better and younger widemen in Brazil, but with that price they should be able to do yet another profitable flip down the line.

That is exactly what he is gonna be great at. Basically like Mane. Low error rate, crazy workrate, power and decisiveness.

Dembele is a better dribbler, and Raphinha a better finisher with good positioning. They're both good at creating chances and they also loose the ball anyhow
