this guy should start over Pique if it wasn't for the fact we need a tall defender. So much better than pique. Not only defensively but also very comfortable playing the ball from the back.

i've noticed a lot of improvement in his distribution and his ball keeping. he is becoming like a hybrid of pique/abidal (calm on the ball, jukes oncoming pressers) he also has a bit of puyol in him, give him another year or so and he'll make the position his own imo
