Average match, if anything above average by Mascherano... people who agree about the penalty and about the sending off have an opinion, its their right! But i DO NOT.

bad game. if your going to put him in CB at least put him there with a natural CB, not some some newbie DM who is clueless about where CB are even meant to be positioned.

cant critisize no valdes or deffender by that game.a game that should have ended 5 or 6 to nothing become a derby becouse that idiot parejo or whatever his name is,decided to turn the match into his personal show(even in that he failed becouse of messi).ill wait for a normal game with a normal ref to judge.

AND your proposal is...?
let me guess.buy 3 defenders and sell pouyol.pique and mache......
becouse if you noticed mache is our best and healthier cb the last 1 and ahalf year.
someone else must come to reality.
wake up this is not fm 2013 bro

Why dont you guys question the motive of buying DMF and convert them to CB (some kind of myth that i will never understand) instead of blaming Masch.

Anyone cast a blame on Masch should sit back and reconsider. Maybe, go back and watch the game after the dust has settled for a rational analysis. What I saw today, especially after Masch was sent off, was clearly lack of communication, organisation and leadership, those attributes Puyol brings on to this team. This has to come from someone in the defense who can read the game well as they have a wider field of view.

Honestly, I just feel like Mascherano is going through a spell of bad form this season. Last season he was absolutely ROCK solid in defense, and everyone here was giving him tons of props. He was a boss back there. It seems to me like he's just off his game now, and has been for this whole season. I don't know what it is, but I know for a fact that he's a better CB than he's let on this season. He's no Puyol or Pique, but last season he was arguably at Pique's level much of the time. He can get the job done when he's on point... hopefully he'll start finding that form again soon.

Mascherano is excellent at CB for the majority of the time, it's only normall that he has a drop in form once in a while.

I'm going to laugh my life away the day Batra has a bad game and everyone is going to jump on the Batra hating bandwagon as soon as he does.
Personally I think the IDEA of a Cdm at Cb is good but the Cdm's we choose are wrong, what Barcelona staff want is a defender who is good on the ball and besides the obvious Mats Hummels we don't have many pure Cb's that we would even consider. So that leaves Defensive midfielders,we ideally want a player who can pass properly and defend decently but we are signing players that can't adapt well enough (Song is NEVER going to be a good Cb).
Blaming Mascherano is wrong because each player is going to have a run of bad form in their career.
