The disappointing bit is that he's taking game time away from Bartra despite playing being badly. I've lost count how many times he's cost us goals this season. Yet Bartra is watching from the stands.

Im starting to dislike him, he has been abysmal for so long and I dont see him improving. Maybe he's boycotting his CB role or he just genuinely cant play there, either way this cant continue.

But that's not his fault, right? I doubt that he forces Tito to play him.
At least Masche offers some experience and to bring on Bartra at a time in the match when the team is slowly falling apart... I doubt it would have worked, to be honest.

And I love how we spent, what, 19 million (?) on Song when we have a good CDM who never plays as CDM, but rather plays (and sucks) as CB. I really don't understand the logic behind transfers in Barca. Don't you think it would have made more sense last summer to buy a CB and just put Mascherano back to his real position? NO! We need to buy another CDM and then make them both play as CB's.

Which is why I think one of them should be sold if we get a new CB this summer. We don't really need 2 backup CDMs.

Mascherano's role in this squad is very strange. There's no doubting his work ethic and commitment to the team and he does put in some excellent performances. However, the fact remains that he is not a natural centre back and this is exposed time and time again. If he was at almost any other team in the world he would be showing that he is a world class defensive mid but it seems that Tito, like Pep, doesn't think he has the technical ability to play there for Barca. It's hard to be angry at Masch when he plays badly because for somebody who is not a centre back, he does quite well.

100% agree. I don´t get ir how such basic errors are commited by barça managers...it´s so obvious. Masche or Song as sub for Busquets and buy a new CB. There are a lot of good CB. Mangala in one of them. Speed, power, pace, play with both feet, great on air balls, very high. All the package.

Verthongen would be good. Barça is not very good at signings except bring back cantera like Pique,Cesc and Alba.
Zlatan, chyngrisky, alexis etc....

Barca's signings seem to hit-or-miss. We've made some good ones like David Villa and Alves.
