14 - Javier Mascherano

Semi-Neutral

Sir Alupp Heynrguson
It's not that easy to just, adapt. I mean, even if you understand what you have to do, it's so much different than actually doing it. I remember I used to have a problem with talking on the field; I would just wave my hands as opposed to calling for the ball. Even though I realized I needed to talk, it still took a better part of a season to force myself to do so; habits like that are hard to break. Adapting to a position is just as hard; as a wingback who is occasionally forced to play centrally, I often don't feel confident and don't know what to do, who to mark, in what positions to play in. Just my take of things ofc.

Are you laughing because you didn't watch Barcelona last year? Because what I said is a fact.
Anyway,I am not saying that he is a better defender than Puyol, but he earned his spot in the team, along with the respect from Pep and his teammates and I don't understand why you are being so tough on him..

If he was ahead of Puyol than that was largely due to injuries and stupidity of the club which cost us against Chelsea and nearly cost us against Milan as well.

And I watched every single game last season but you apparently haven't seen a proper defender.

Why do we insist on teaching a DM to be a CB? It's clear it's not working. Just let the remainder of the season pass by and then get a good defender. In the meanwhile hope for minimum costly errors from him

Because he doesn't fit our system as DM ,and Busquets and Song are better player at the DM ,If he decided he wants to play back in midfield it might be better for everyone if we sold him and get better CBs (1 or may be 2)

Roura: "Mascherano subbed off 5 minutes in the second half? He had a yellow card and Soldado caused him problems, that's why we subbed him."

Good decision!

How can he see that and not see that we needed a winger? I mean, why wait until the 70th minute to sub Cesc and bring Thiago in freaking injury time?

Masche was not good though... The sub was correct...

Needed a winger? Villa came on and missed a chance/did nothing.

Villa is always poor when not starting. Roura should really have nominated Tello instead of him or Alexis as he's a real winger. Masche was very poor today, as always. He's just not a CB, I don't get why nobody sees that.

Once again Youngie, it's not about individual performances, it's about the team as a whole not being able to function correctly...

Let's say Villa scored that chance and won the game, what would be you argument against playing a winger?
