perfect?at the end he is a DM and he is very short (1.74) he is useless in the air and bad in positioning at times and especially in important games
yeah but he has passion and fights till dead, can only be said about 10% of our squad, not all about skills

But against the elite teams, skill does matter and it shows in those games that he isn't a true CB. Masch was another signing that didn't make much sense when it happened and doesn't make much sense now either. That money could've been spent on a true and proper CB.

If Napoli raised their bid and we can sell him for around 25M it would be a glorious chance.. He is not getting any better in Barca's system.. He proved mediocre in Dm position compared even to Song (for our style, i STRESS) and he proved reliable for some occassions in the CB positions, but with healthy Puyol a better choice even now that he is ageing..
This teams need to start learning WHEN to sell a player. We keep losing players for free when their value has touched bottom and its evident that they are below par, not going to rejuvenate anyhow.. See my comment on Cesc threat also regarding Villa..
The only problem is that Masch will not go to a team like Napoli, even with Rafa a a coach. He can play number Six for any top side in Europe besides barcelona..

I dont agree that Puyol is better than him anymore and would go as far to say he is the best center back in the team.
A couple of the games I have been at he has completely stood out for how much quicker he reads the game defensively compared to everyone else.
Having said that his height is a problem as the rest of the team is so weak in that area they need more powerful CB's in the air.
I would not even consider selling him unless for a huge fee and those who act as if it is some sort of relief if he goes are so wide of the mark.

I agree, but 20m for a CB is a pretty big fee!
