Exactly. I love Masch and I'd love him to stay and play as DM, but this won't work against real teams. In situations like this you see why you can't have a midget as CB. FFS, he was outjumped by LAHM!!

He was not outjumped... His mistake is that he allowed Lahm to get in a position in front of him, so his height had nothing to do with that goal... Puyol is only one inch taller than him and nobody complains about it, Masch's problems as CB are always positioning...

To be fair that goal had so much wrong it's scary... Ribery crossed with absolute freedom, he could have sipped tea while at it, Bartra was in no mans land (debatable), Masch got terribly out witted and Pinto was on his knees...

what bothers me the most is his constant need to dive into tackles,its great when he wins the ball but most of the time he either gives away a foul or gets beaten easily

It might be the Argentine connection, but I think Tata will use Masch more often than Pep did. In the DM position of course. Just a feeling.
