That's because Patric is not a LB. He's actually a midfielder, but plays RB sometimes.

Would've liked to have seen him move up and play a double pivot with Song and have brought Bartra on to play RB, sliding Puyol back into central defense...Tata must've seen things he liked or didn't in training but it seemed an insane gamble to put Carles at RB...As for Javier's form, perhaps he's indeed looking to leave because he has had positive moments this season but they've been dwarfed by his many mistakes...I think the CB experiment is over with him

It'll be surprising if Zubi doesn't move for a CB & #9 in the transfer window

Injury crisis that led to the CL final forced Pep to play him as CB during the CL final and then Pep moved to 3-4-3 next year and we played him back there still. Even with Tito switching to 4-3-3 Masch remained CB. Kind of strange lol teaching the old dog new tricks.

Can't believe I'm even considering this considering how poorly he fared there before but I think the CB experiment with Masch should come to a close, except in circumstances where lack of depth requires it...I think, especially with Tata's tactics, that Javier should be platooning with Busquets at DM and see how he fares there

Agreed a CB and a top striker . I long for the days of Rivaldo / Figo / Kluivert

We dont need a top striker... we need to believe in youth and promote someone from our youth team eg Dongou , Sanabria , Sandro.
We have the best youth team in the world time, we stop this talk about buying a "top striker" , which would cost us about 20-30 mill. There is no need for a number9, buying a number 9 would be for experiment, its not needed. And our last experiment , Masch , didn't go so well did it?
