Who would have thought after a full season + Euro + Olympics with 1 week rest after all of this? What a shock!
Tbh he barely played in Euros and wasn't really that overused last season. You have the likes of Alvarez who've been regular last season, in Copa and on Olmypics as well but didn't catch an injury.

The matches are a lot less important than everyday training without rest.

It was so logical and easy to rest him until September, he could do a little preseason now and start playing after international break. Now he's injured because they didn't get him any rest, couldn't we survive withou these few cameos that he had in previous games? Always the same idiotic treatment of our players, looks like it will be the same with Flick.

So probably missing Girona, Monaco and Villarreal away. Not ideal but could be worse. On one hand it's better he's out during international break (I know he was injured while training with the U21 NT but injury could also happen while playing or training for the club) and will only miss 3 games rather than 6 or 7 had we played our "normal" schedule.

Will clearly be missed in these tough away games as a first sub/game changer off the bench (now that role will probably go to Ferran that is much less inspiring to say the least, lol) but maybe a chance for Pablo to also get some minutes and prove he's ready to be another player added into the midfield mix rotation. I thought we should have send him on loan but with all the injuries will maybe prove to be a good decision to keep him.
