20 - Dani Olmo

What? I barely watch Bayern but Olmo is way more vertical player and more comfortable on ball than Thomas. Thought Muller was type player that mostly delivers and pops up in final third. Plays as second striker at times and with back to goal.

Kdb comparison I can understand a bit more.
Olmo mostly delivers and pops up in the final 3rd cmon now. Olmo is basically a SS too. He is all about scoring. Muller in his prime was a monster and extremely clever. Just like Olmo.

KDB is levels higher than Olmo

Well, he is not "levels" above, but at least a level or two. Right now Olmo is killing it, but KDB has done it more or less regularly over many years. If Olmo keeps up his current form over 2 season than I'd say there aren't any levels between them - because at the moment Olmo is fucking cooking, maybe even better than KDB.

KDb being levels higher is irrelevant. the comparisons were regarding style no? kdb like olmo receives ball at middle of pitch. In my mind at least muller gets on ball higher up and usually lays it off quickly.

The thing is Kevin is likely on the way down now whereas Dani is coming into his prime.

He will likely never be as good as prime KDB, but he's seven years younger I believe and probably a better bet in the next few seasons. Mainly because of Kev's injuries and looking like he's on the way down. Olmo can be a world-class player, he's excellent.

Olmo has nothing to with Mueller

His style is like that from Kdb and yes ofc Kdb is 1-2 levels above Olmo

Respect to Mueller though, he is one of the most unselfish palyers ive ever seen, every striker loves to play with him and every coach would want a prime Mueller in his team

How is Olmo like KDB he isn't the assist type player. Sure he can score like KDB does if that's what you are using as your metric. Olmo wants to score everytime he can. He is a good passer 100% but KDB is one of the best passers and excels at a level that Olmo cannot. Idk I guess I see different things than others when I watch them both.

He is better in tight spaces than Kevin, I'd say. More of a build-up player than Kev whereas Kev can do that too but is more an end product man.

Maybe that's inaccurate though. They're both very very good in end product and build up.

Olmo has a long long way to go before he can even chat to KDB.

KDB is on the decline now but he has been an absolute magician. Does things other players can only dream of. Has 'wow' moments almost every game.

On top of the magic and ridiculous technical ability, he's a hardworking bastard with good physical attributes. Modern day great.

No doubt about it Olmo is a monster in tight spaces. He can unlock things with 1 touch. Olmo is a perfect glue guy. Whatever cliche term people like to use for players who can plug into teams and go. Olmo has a ton of what I would say is "X Factor" he is a win condition out there.

I just think KDB is so far ahead myself. Kind of like when we had Thiago and people said he was "The Next Xavi" he was damn good but he was no Xavi.

Yeah I understand mate and always respect your opinion. I just think - going forward - Kevin will be in decline and Olmo will enter his own prime.

De Bruyne is one of the best midfielders and players of his generation. He is a little underrated because he only won one CL, compared to greats like Xavi, Iniesta, Modric and Kroos. But after those guys, for me, he is the best midfielder in the past 20 years

Yeah that is obvious. He means Prime KDB. KDB was a magician for years.

Olmo has a lot of work to do in order to reach that level overall. The constant injuries won't help.
