20 - Dani Olmo

The problem is that Erique used him on the wing in 4-3-3 and I don't think this is a good idea. He also used him as a RM/LM few times when Spain played 4-1-4-1 in qualifications. I am from Croatia, so I have watched him many times with Dinamo Zagreb. Olmo played his best games when he was used behind one or two strikers. This is the reason why I sad that 4-2-3-1, 4-4-2 or even 3-5-2 would suit him better than Barca's 4-3-3.

He was great with Pedri & Busi and played effectively as a false 9 - coupled with Ansu & Memphis it would present many attacking options

I like Olmo a lot and would love his return, just wonder if money might be better spent on Adeyemi should he not remain in Germany - on balance however, Dani would be a great fit for a number of years and represent a return to La Masia model where only 1 or 2 big foreign signings would be a target (i.e. Haaland)

Adeyemi is a winger, st.

Olmo is an attacking midfielder who can play on the attacking flank if needed.

Why are you comparing them?

And forget about Fati, he finished football.

We need an attacking midfielder.

Pedri is a guy who practically doesn't dribble and doesn't make a lot of forward passes.

He's a mister cautious game.

I agree with you that 70 million is a lot, but I would not mind seeing him in Barcelona for 40 million euros.

Laporta needs to stop jerking off to La Masia. If Olmo would've been from Villarreal's academy or whatever, we'd never spend 60-70m on him.

So what's the plan with him? Replacing Busquets with FDJ and playing Pedri & Olmo as CMs?

Have nothing against Olmo, but don't think he'll fit in. Club should know by now that going after (expensive) players that doesn't really fit into the preferred system end up being a disappointment.

What makes you believe that?
The natural thing if he comes in a couple of months would be to play him in the exaxt role he had in Spain with Pedri, Busquets and Alba behind him. He fit in very well there and I see no reason why he wouldn't here.

That LW position should be occupied by same player they just gave number 10

Don't really need him.

That 60 million that we apparently have could be far more useful in other areas of the team.

Boggles the mind, why Leo didn't get that extension? Why we didn't cut off the captains wages earlier, why we didn't do the Griezzyboy deal earlier too. And now we have 60 million to spunk on fucking Dani Olmo. This club is cursed with stupid presidents man.
