20 - Dani Olmo

He can definitely play in a 4-3-3, he's a masia kid, 433 is as natural to them as breathing.
Where?

Their is nothing wrong with having 2 quality players for the same position, some would consider that a good thing.
It's not but it's wrong to have 4 CAMs and 0 LWs and 0 DMs.

If de jong doesn't renew by February/March, they will take a cut price deal for him in the summer, 50m or around that number.

Who cares what Barca is willing to accept? FDJ will finish his contract.

Olmo is over-rated due to EURO 2024. No way he can do better than Pedri (who is the titular in Spain on AM position), Fermin & Pablo (they won't be able to play regularly), Gundogan as another titular. Spending 60+M for Olmo is total disaster from any point. 60M for Olmo from a club that has financial issues for years is crime. Still hoping the deal collapses.

Man City has 2 good players for each position. Barca fans cry because we sign a player that at worst is 2nd best AM on the team. Then halfway through the season start complaining about half the team being injured and we start random players that shouldn't be in a game yet. You know sort of like how we are going to be in the first few weeks of this season.

Olmo for 60m is a bargain.

Gundogan is older
Pedri is literally close to being finished
Fermin is a developing prospect
Guille is a prospect
Torre is not that guy

Yet Olmo for 60 has everybody crying when oh by the way he outperformed Pedri and Fermin at the Euros especially in the knockout stages.

You talk too much... for now. The facts are different. The money is limited. The only hope remains local boys & Hansi approach, and not transfers.

Money for transfer fees is not limited. Salary is the issue. Thinking you are a Barca accountant will get you nowhere. 90% of these haters only are complaining because they are worried about money when the club itself isn't that worried. Not to mention long term this will likely save large amounts anyway if he succeeds

What every needs to start talking about now, is summer 2025, that will be a more fun and interactive debate, this summer we tried for Nico didn't get him and signed Olmo, window is pretty much done.

Next summer though, we'll have more money to spend, finally some freedom with our ability to register players.

A 37 year old striker and still a need for a pure LW, we need names and lots of them.

I'm for isak

47m up front, plus 13m in variables, which includes playing 60% of our games and winning la Liga, so they've factored in his injury record in the deal.

Good to see him back home. In great form as well.

Besides injuries, my other minor concern is the Fabregas example, IMO, of returned La Masia talent that underperforms. Might not be the case, because 2012 Barca looked effortless for Cesc (which trap he fell), while Olmo has a major role to play in an underdog Barca this season.
