Nunez would be great but his starting price is 80mil.

If you go for good young strikers you are bound to spend big in this market. Period.

SHOW ME THE MONEYYYY stuff precisely.

I really liked Nunez from the videos I saw. He has that Suarez vibe.

Curious how he looks in CL now.

As others have said, Kounde rumors popped up again.

Personally don't believe them but definitely wouldn't mind Kounde - Araujo being our CB partnership from next season onwards...

You don't .... mind it?
Dude, that CB pair would be THE DREAM!

BTW Javi Miquel reported it, who is top in reliability as he is the mouthpiece of Xavi.
So they are indeed negotiating.
I want to be optimistic, but I am afraid we can't compete against Chelsea's offer

Javi Miguel might be close to Xavi, but he's been wrong a lot lately though. We'll see.

You are back to trusting Javi Miguel when claimed same in past on things he has been wrong on.

Javi Miguel is not Xavis mouth piece either.

He claimed last week Koulibaly deal was 'advanced'.

Is Miguel right about the club wanting to include Dest then? Must be by your logic.

I won't believe any Kounde rumors until a reporter or journalist close to Sevilla report it. Same goes for most transfers really. The clowns in MD, Sport and all the radio stations in Barcelona link us to a new name every day.

Could well be club want him but they live in past where they have the financial power of past and most players dreaming of move.

I don't know what the club's financial situation is. No one does. But if they're able to spend serious money to improve the squad through CVC, Barca Studio and player sales I hope they make the right decisions.

Get in top quality at CB, CDM, RB and proper competition at LB and take it from there. Would like to sign a striker but if there's none out there that fits the bill just wait another year I guess.

We'll see what kind of players we bring, for what money. So far I read a lot of cheap options for Spanish players at the end of their contracts like Azpi or Alonso. That coupled with Xavi's recent presser tells me the money could be low. But we need to wait, could also be tactics from our end.

If we bring top-rated players like Kounde, Tchouameni... it means the finances aren't as terrible and we're improving in this area. It's all about what the summer will look like in terms of player quality that we bring. More cheapo bargains and/or older players, or some top players near their prime that are linked with many top clubs?

Or maybe the money is low, but we are looking at offloading De Jong for big money in order to get a different type of player. There is also this angle where we don't have money but we get a good sum that we can invest by selling De Jong.

It is about what they are deciding to do with the money as well.

So far have spent 55m on Torres, 5m or so on Torre, 12/13m a year to both Christensen/Kessie while can include being happy to keep paying Busquets/Alba 25m a season or so between them etc.

The financial situation is not as dire as is made out and it is already being reported that they have to now sign CVC or cant even register likes of Christensen and Kessie.

We have spent actually 0m so far on Torres.
1st instalment kicks in during the summer, and it will be 20 or so

True, but really the only investment that is serious is Torres. And even that was possible because City accepted payment in many installments. Other clubs won't be as understanding because they don't have any connection with Barca like City have.

Can Barca fork the money to buy two class players, or not? Does it involve selling De Jong for it to be possible? Do we get rid of that wage issue in the summer to register potential top players for probably serious salaries? Those are critical questions the club should answer.

Barca have few valuable assets that they can sell, since I presume they don't want to sell Ansu, Pedri, or Gavi. Only De Jong maybe, but I'd rather keep him personally.

Not relevant as it gets paid and it is not about the cash anyway on what is restircting Barca this summer it is the accounts.

Yes, and on the accounts of 21/22 0m expenditure is registered for Torres, while on the accounts of 22/23 20m will be registered.
That along with his not big wages means Torres is not burdening the books

How City allowed it to happen doesnt really make any difference to the point. It is money they have decided to spend that impacts what is available this summer.

Paying Christensen/Kessie 25m a season between them and being happy to do the same for likes of Busquets and Alba is serious money.
