Even for CL, we should have some expectations (yes, I know about Busquets and MATS these days when it comes to CL KOs).

Players like Lewa were brought to make the difference in the big games. As was Raphinha. As was Kounde. Pedri has to step up even more. So does Araujo and Fati.

To challenge for La Liga would be the norm with this team. If Xavi and the players want to get real credit and people to recognize them as winners, they need to deliver the title and do well in CL.

La Liga win + CL semis would be incredible for first real rebuild season.

We signed several great players in the prime of their careers and a 34 year old world class striker. Our lineup next season is gonna practically be all players at the prime ages of their careers or veterans.

Only young player who could be a consistent starter would be Pedri (and perhaps Ansu if stays fit but he won't start much because of those issues). It's a win now situation.

Kounde is very young. Raphinha is young, Ferran is very young, Kessie is young, Christensen is very young, Araujo is very young. Not to mention Pedri, Gavi, Ansu.

This team we have at the moment is stronger than either of EV's 2 teams. That was a Barca in clear decline that was being carried by the last fumes of Messi. And even Messi was only enough for LL.
