Puyol had the right to have a season like last years because the man was already 36. At 28 and never having played a minute, Verm does not.

He will probably have another cameo for the b-team to get some match fitness, score a header again and subsequently "feel discomfort" the day after in training lasting until next season. Rinse and repeat.
Nah but seriously, if he can be operated and get this fixed, I'd much rather take one long wait for him to get back to a consistent fitness level than having him go on and off like this. We signed him for several years, so we need to make this as good as possible and wish the guy well. It's not like he's going to be easy to sell again when he's like this either, which must make Wenger laugh all the way to the bank for how much we payed them. Zuuuuubidubidoooo.

The Vermalen/Mathieu money could have gone on Benatia. We'll only get a couple of good years out of Matheiu (who isn't top drawer) and probably none out of Vermalen who is an average defender anyway and who wasn't even in Arsenal's team when fit. Awful mismanagement that even tops the Song nonsense and neglecting centre half last summer. Arsenal see us coming every time.

The monet spent on vermalen should had gone to any other cb. There was money left to spend, zubi didn't because he is a giant
I don't understand how this guys is still FC Barcelona's sporting director. This is not an amateur club... He was a great gk once, but that's gone down the drain for me. Signing Verm and douglas is on him, and it shows that if there was someone stopping him in the background, was from making stupid signings like these two.
