It doesnt sum up anything.

If this squad wins this season he deserves some credit for it. Regardless of how hard that is for people to swallow.

Let's bring him back then(if this squad wins this season), because that would imply he did a good job.

That's not how it works now does it?

Why would you not give him some credit if the success was partly down to players brought in and a manager he chose?

Of course he deserves some praise if it all works out well.

I agree with the last part of your text but it sums up a lot actually.
You probably forgot that he didn't buy any centre-back for three seasons, knowing that defense was our biggest problem.
He actually sold Cesc for 33m and Alexis for 42m, that's what we call a businessman, right ? I don't even want to talk about Alex Song, Thiago Alcantara (once again an amazing deal for the club ).
Arguing in favor of Zubizarreta is total nonsense.

JamDav1982, are you by any chance related to Rosell or other former/current board members of the Rosell/Bartomeu junta?

Can only get for Cesc and Sanchez what clubs are willing to pay.

Listing bad transfers only tells half the story - and I lot of them I agree were bad but I could point just as bad if not worse at every big club going.

This idea that CB has been the biggest problem for three seasons isnt even accurate. The biggest failure in last three seasons was not having enough going forward in the biggest games.

If this squad wins, which he helped put together then he deserves some credit for that.

No and a lot of the transfer decisions I didnt agree with and wouldnt want to see him back but you cant deny his part in putting this squad together and choosing the manager.

he did a couple of good things but he also held back the club unecessarily and made the transition phase more painful than it needed to be.

Alright, we'll give him 0,01% of credit in memory of his goalkeeping skills at the club then.

As far as I know Josep Maria Bartomeu was the mastermind behind the signing of Luis Suarez. Juan Carlos Unzue the one who requested for Claudio Bravo's signing, and then Zubi who brought in Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Jeremy Mathieu and Thomas Vermaelen.

If one of those three proves to be the difference between trophies and no trophies then good job bringing them in Zubi, but the shit he has pulled through the 4 years he was here outweights the good stuff he has done, will prove to have done by far.

Ok so Bartomeu deserves credit for this team?

By your reckoning all the praise for Ronaldinho goes to Rossel is that correct?

Who gets credit for building a winning team if it works out that way?

He didn't built shit mate. Throwing 40m euro at Neymar Senior's bank account and 81m to Liverpool for a player with a beautiful reputation is nothing worth credit.
He refused Kroos for Rakitic last summer. What else ? He bought Vermaelen for 15m euro knowing that the latter finished his contract at Arsenal in June. Are you gonna tell me that Douglas is gonna score the winner in champions league final this season ? No, then stop talking about "credit" and "Zubizarretta" in the same sentence.

I asked who you give credit to for this squad if not Zubi.

Signing Neymar and Suarez are two of the best things the club has done in years.

Signing them when other clubs wanted to pay more.
