25 - Wojciech Szczęsny

Szczęsny is on the ascending form, it will last for some time until he does some red card or passes the ball to the nearest pressing opponent. That's inevitable. Let's hope it will be not until after the CL final, in which, I truly hope to see FC Barcelona present themselves with one Pole in front doing big ass goals and another one in the back making big ass saves. What happens after that, I don't care. They both can be sold or retire...doesn't matter.

Tek ignoring Pedri's calma
If a goal had been scored from that, it would have been a really cool move, that's how Tek came up with it and it almost worked. Btw. Perfect introduction of the ball into the handball, notice that the Alaves players didn't expect it at all, one even tried to stop him. I think that's some kind of idea for some matches...

Pena's long passes directly led to two of our goals in the first Clasico this season. Don't really care if it's a throw or a kick.

there are important differences:

A ground kick needs quite a bit of time and space and the opposition is typically ready on defense.

A throw can be done quickly in a crowd and catch the opposition off guard - a good weapon for a quick counter.

A volley kick can be done almost as quickly but require more open space and less accurate than a throw.

Tek is looking more and more confident, which should be a joy before the most important matches of the season. I think that this was Flick's tactic, so that Wojtek could calmly rebuild his form and only then let him go into the deep end. He is more and more confident, his play on the line has always been his strong point, excellent reflexes. Catching crosses as well, which was great to see in slow motion. Keep it up.
