He is trying to be something he is not (sweeper keeper). Either play him as a regular GK or play Pena.

Wojtek has never played high, he was excellent in goal, 1v1 and with crosses and in these elements he is much better. He should do what he does well, he should not be required to play high, because later it happens like yesterday.

He can't play high line or he is not used to it. Trying to be Pena cost him twice basically.

His lack of speed is hurting.

Pena fits Flicks team much better. The philosophy how Flick wants to play at least.

Pena is the better goalkeeper for this team unless we have to park the bus when you need shot stopping where Zesny excels.

If he wants to take the #1 job from Pena, he needs to improve a lot his runs. Pena reads and reacts very fast to those through balls and situations. Zesny struggles.

Yeah, he can at least make a save. He is the best goalkeeper out of these three.

The problem is not Szczesny, this mistake is on Flick. I think it's better that Pena plays. In an ideal world I would throw all 3 GK out in the summer and get new ones.

as long as Flick plays his style of football Pena can be serviceable second goalkeeper.

I dont think he should be sweeping at all. The high line game doesnt suit him.
Maybe it will take time for him to get used to it.
