Hes a bit overrated.
Problem is Barcelona are so bad at transfers we would just get something worse and 30+ from another LaLiga club

There's barely any CB in the World that would be an upgrade over him. Perhaps someone like van Dijk if he's found old form, but he's older and had knee injuries.

Ruben Dias is great, but he plays in a functional system for the best manager in the world.

Perhaps?? Van dijk of 2019 was one of the best defenders of this generation, guy was not beatable in a dribbling.

Otherwise i agree, Aurajo is normally one of the best in the world, yesterday he had just a bad day.

We're almost in 2024 so he's a few years older, a torn ACL and couple of injuries later.

ha ha ha, oh man
That's true tho. Bayern usually update their squad by racketeering other bunde clubs of their best assets, not stealing creme de la creme from other top leagues. Not that it's working bad for them, but Kane is a one off.

They got Mane when his stock was sky high(no one knew about his upcoming decline).

They got De Ligt from Juve when he was very highly rated by several clubs.

They got one of the best young talents in Sane. From City.

They got Lucas Hernandez.

Bayern are 1 of the most attractive clubs on the planet.

Them poaching Bundesliga talents is just a financial strategy. They get them on a much lower fee with lesser years left on their contract and the concerned players pushing for a move.

In order to "steal the creme de la creme" of PL and LL clubs, any club will have to break the bank and pay silly money. Bayern being a well run club try to use the financially safer route. They do buy these big name players if they really need it though. Like Kane.

Nobody wants to play in Bundesliga.

This is rank of top clubs where players want to play:

1. Man City
2. Real M
3. Barcelona
4. Liverpool
5. Bayern
6. Arsenal
7. PSG
...

If Araujo will go somwhere it will be Premier League.

They can pay 100mil with ease, and that kind of football will suit him like glove.

Bayern can get best from the bundesliga and thats it.
And players that are not wanted by top 4 clubs.

Look at Bayerns transfers last 10 years, they didn't bring any top talent, just rejects from City, like Sane, De Ligt...

Mané sky high? He was 30 on his last year of contract. Sky high would be like 3 years prior when his market value was above 100m.

de Ligt would've been a more impressive buy when he left Ajax. Juve sold him for a loss after missing out on CL that season.

Sané was bought after missing literally a full season due to ACL tear. He only had 1 year left of contract and didn't want to extend. Was a very good opportunity for City to sell while already having offensive players like KDB, Sterling, Mahrez, Bernardo, David Silva, Jesus and Foden. Can't consider the Sané transfer to be some kind of coup from Bayern.

Lucas was bought for his release clause of 80m which was considered very high at the time. Don't recall any other clubs fighting for him back then.
