You want Paredes or Rabiot??? And you're calling Laporta an idiot? LMFAO
We need players and they have to be free or cheap. Pedri, Gavi and De Jong out. Fermin is going to the Olympics. That's basically the whole midfield out for the start of the season.
Do you want to start Bernal, Cassado and Darwich???
Paredes and Rabiot are serviceable, cheaper options at the moment. Gundogan has had a long season and 8s old too. Not to mention the fact that Pedri and De Jong are injury prone and unreliable.

Rabiot wouldn't be the worst on a free but the guy probably wants ridiculous wages

Paredes is pants though, rather we stay away from that one.

Paredes is definitely not pants, he had a great season at AS Roma.

He would have been a good buy last summer in a position where we desperately needed someone and he was cheaper than Romeu.

Man,we suck in so many areas. Timing being one of them. We probably should have closed the deal on either De Jong or Araujo before these tournaments. Now we have two injured players whose value has significantly decreased and who can run down their contracts, if they desire .

Yes, I would prefer to play kids than bring more average 30 y/o players who would demand big fat contracts.

Please enlighten us with your wisdom and tell us what you would do.

Trust in the La Masia, hermano. What did the game today show you? The game was won by 2 gems who were made in La Masia ( Lamine and Olmo ). A game of the highest level against a beast of a defence.

Let's bring them all in and play them. Let not Xavi's best managerial trait go to waste. Need a right back, give it to Fort. Need a CDM, let's try the Bernal. Need a centre back, let's give Faye a shot.

Some may not make it, some may fail, some may cost us points. But what is for certain is that these kids are way better than we think they are and we will never know their quality until we take a chance and put them in the big time.

There is something special there in La Masia. We have to trust it. It's probably the only thing we do as a club, better than everyone else.

I sort of see both sides. You don't wanna burn out young players or throw them to the wolves too early - but on the other side of the coin, signing non-entities like Rabiot just as a body (on the wages he'd want) is never gonna be a game changer. It's not gonna make much difference having someone like Rabiot, so why not try some of the younger ones? Barca are a club with a rich history of young players after all, and you seem to have a quality set of players coming through from La Masia.

But, like I say, you don't wanna fuck up young players too early, and some people don't like when the team is balanced more towards the youth. It's a tricky one.
