Problem is that Laporta needs to understand that we can't give 6 mil to Christensen and Kessie and than demand from Araujo and Gavi to play for 2 or 3 mil. That's just dumb and they for sure won't accept that. We better don't fuck this up!

If they sold Aruajo would probably be looking for 40-50m in summer as well to replace him and even if sign Kounde/MDL it would be a profit on this seasons accounts.

That would be dumb. For example Kounde can pass the ball better than Araujo but his defending ability is questionable. In contrast, Araujo is fast, strong, he defends well and can score goals. Why would anyone wan't overrated player like Kounde (or someone like him) over Araujo? In addition to that Araujo has much strongeer personality. That's something we have been missing for a while. I sincerely hope we won't screw this up, it would be a real shame.

Eric Garcia is better on the ball than Puyol was.

Obviously you'd want someone good on the ball but being a great defender is far more important. Araujo is adequate and improving.

Garcia being better on ball than Puyol is irrelevant as no one claiming it is only on ball that matters but for being a top defender being better on ball than Araujo is currently is all part of it.

Puyol was better on ball than Araujo and better defender than him as well if want to compare them.

No one is saying passing is more important than defending but if have a weakness on the ball then will have an impact as a player and how club view them.

Nor would it be Christensen and Garcia. If Araujo left in summer they would look to replace him with top CB.

Puyol was better defender than Araujo is now and it is not particularly close.

'Agenda'... aye in reality I have been one of biggest supporters of Araujo since he broke through but dont let truth get in way of a story.
