5 - Iñigo Martínez

I've seen this guy for the Spanish Olympic team, in the actual stadium. He is very reckless and got sent off. He was also a very average defender.

You don't overspend on someone just because there's no other alternative (there is if you actually scout properly, otherwise in six years there would be no world class defenders)

Every defender on Spain looked mediocre during the Olympics. Watch him in Sociedad and you'll see his talent.

Possibly yeah. The only players that Impressed me were juan mata, javi Martinez, jordi alba.

Even the likes of isco looked quite average

He's worth a shot but I'd only want him for about 15 million. Anymore is too much of a gamble

Guys i dont know if its really a serious issue but..Inigo is 1.81 which for a CB its pretty Short,We need to add some height in this team and especially in defense

That's not small, Pique is tall yet jumps like an old man, yet with 1,81 you can be fast what Barca needs.

I'm actually sad I haven't watched Barca B more, this Edgar Le looks good to me, fast, beast, good in air.

I haven't watched any of this guy besides when he has played vs Barcelona and a little bit of the last match of the season when Sociedad secured CL football so I don't really have an opinion but I hadn't heard of him ever(perhaps I had just been ignorant) until about 7 or 8 months ago until suddenly people started bringing him up and building him up like he's the next Puyol. IMO, that is a very lofty comparison for a kid that from what I know has had just one good season. I hope you guys are right but I do get a bit of the feeling that he's flavor of the month.

Personally, I think we should still be taking a look at Vertonghen. I like the idea of bringing in Vertonghen or someone else proven plus Marquinhos. That way, we can try out several different CB pairings. Who knows...Hummels and Pique could not be as DISASTROUS as you guys claim it will be even though none of you are football coaches.

It's a shame Pique isn't more aggressive and jumps higher. Some matches he's great in the air but others he's poor and he should be more of a goal threat on corners for his height. Puyol who is like 4 or 5 inches shorter is a bigger goal threat than Pique.

The top CB prospects have already been poached; Varane and Nastasic.
Marquinhos is left but he's going to be expensive.

The last season was definitely not the break-out for this youngster... He's been attracting interest for a whole now. But why this noise all of a sudden? Is the club in negotiation with Sociedad or some thing?
