Doubt he'll actually cost 30M, even though that's his buyout clause. I can see us getting him for around 20.

If he wants to play in Barca, he would be in hurry. Because if we don't buy him, we'd buy someone else. But I think his personal ambition is the smallest problem here.

I think he'd be interested if any big club showed interest. Especially if it's Barca, where there are defensive issues and where he'd probably be a starter.

I wouldn't mind having Martinez here, but whenever we're discussing buying players like him or Marquinhos, I can help but ask myself... why would we spend money to buy them if we have Bartra? If we're talking about buying someone like Thiago Silva, then I get it. They're incomparable. But Inigo plays alongside Bartra in the U-21 NT, Marquinhos is 19... they might be better than Bartra at the moment, but they're not out of his league. At least not enough to justify spending money on either one of them, while we already have Bartra in the squad.

They're a lot better than Bartra imo. I'd rather get someone like Silva than one of them though.

We must sell Masch or Song. We will have more money to spend and it frees up a spot for Bartra, because he doesn't get the playingtime he needs/deserves. Buying a new defender will of course prohibit Bartra (selling someone will prevent this). We also have busquets and having 3 DM's isn't necessary. Song and Masch are used as CB's anyway so we might as well buy a real CB.

Masch wont leave unless there is a big bid for him.

He is a much better center back than Bartra it is not even close.

You seem to claim everyone is injury prone!!

Masch has played in 93 games the past two seasons - and that is with getting rotated.

He is not injury prone in the slightest. One of the least injury prone in the squad!

Puyol's the one you're talking about. Masch isn't injury prone at all. We can't rely on him though, since he's not a real CB. Then again, he is a decent rotation option.

I think he was the best center back by a distance this season.

Almost all the poor performances in big games he was not playing and Pique, Puyol and Bartra were a shambles.

I think he has the abilities to be a CB for Barcelona and clearly so did Pep.

Its not a fact that he cant play CB at all.
