No harm with a little bench time really. No young player should be an out and out starter.

Even Pep will make a bench player from last season into a starter this season, and vice versa.

If we can't manage to do that to an underperforming 18 year old then we are a bunch of mugs. And no one wants Catalan mugs. They are made way too cheaply.

Not half as bad as people make him out to be. Some really nice turns in there. He just doesn't have an awful lot of touches for very obvious, non-individual reasons.

He had very little impact and struggled to get on ball as is case fairly often.

Fact video is a minute long tells its own story.

Not one moment of quality there on ball really.. couple nice turns and couple turns into trouble then dives is not enough.

Fati came on in similar position and was more of a threat and found ball more.

Needs to get back to being a midfielder. We're doing him no favours constantly playing to him back to goal and expecting it to create a move. That's the forwards job.

That's just over two years back. Only thing he needs to be learning from there is the selection process. When to dribble, hold the ball and when to quick release.

Pep wouldn't have him running around like a headless chicken, that's for sure.

Barca had to sell him for 100 millions when they had the chance. Had to use the hype. Stats like 5 goals, 13 assists and 31 yellow cards in 98 games while playing as an attacking midfielder are speaking for themselves. He is worse than Pedri and not even worth comparing to De Jong and Gundogan. You dont even need him in 4-4-2 now, because Romeo is solid at DM and the other 3 could play in front of him. Its crazy not to sell bench player, that is massively overrated, for so much money, when with these money you could fix problems at RB and attack.
