Anyway back to Gavi... needs to improve massively.

Looks slow, poor on ball and poor positionally.

Running about pressing like mad is good but also needs more quality on ball and to know when not to over press/leave game open.

Can only get better from this but does he have it in him to be a top player? Doesnt look like it currently.

Tell us again how Frankie stats from last season beat the ones from non existing Barca player and another that was injured half the time.

You are fake. But let me tell you what is not.

Pedri
Olmo
Gavi
Casado/fermin
De jong
Bernal only because he's injured.

Gavi did look extra slow Sunday, but it's a Major injury he's coming back from will have ups and downs..

My two questions to test anyone's ball knowledge is.

Have you ever thought De jong was was the best midfielder in the world.

Did you ever think de jong was, is or will never be better than Pedri.

Note the people who answered yes to these questions over the years are mainly the ones trying to disrespect gavi the lionheart.

It will end how it always ends, no need to redo old debates and have tired conversations.

Again.. what are you on about? What stats?

I think you dont understand the stats shown or why.. try again.

There goes the 'enforcer!'.

Same enforcer who has come off early in last couple games was poor/injure or mix of both.

Fake news.

FDJ was better than Pedri in Koemans season and in league winning season... simples. Better last season in first half also until injury.

Always said they were the best two and Pedri not far behind and can over take him soon enough.

While others thought Gavi was up there with Pedri....

Have you ever claimed Pedri has to be the most attacking midfielder in team and dont understand how to get best out of him?

Have you ever thought Gavi is unique and there will be a La Masia player through soon better than Pedri?

Have you ever claimed Barca should not let Gundogan go and should not sign Olmo?

Have you ever claimded Kessie is Barcas best midfielder as won Serie A?

Have you ever claimed Romeu would be a good signing?

Very easy.

I'd argue that fellow La Masia players such as Casado, Fermin and Olmo ironically made Gavi's inclusion into the starting 11 insanely difficult.

Casado can work with Pedri and or Frenkie and isn't a complete headless chicken and still has that tenacity without going insanely overboard with the fouls and is also currently better with the ball than Gavi currently is.

Olmo and Fermin are self-explanatory in the #10 spot, Both are far more creative and they can link the Midfield between down deep and the forward line while also being a goal threat.

I just don't know what to do with Gavi right now. He just doesn't have what Casado, Olmo and Fermin currently have in terms of skill set.

It's true, but football team needs a squad. Many players to perform consistently. I'd even argue we wouldn't lose so many points early in the season, if we had bigger squad (injuries cost us).

All these guys have their place and time. At least for now. (if no new players arrive).

Give him minutes in Pedri role. It is the one he is most suited to in this system and Pedri will need rested with calendar going to be way it is.

Tell him that want nothing but football in his head and if he gets distracted by opposition and referees then he is off early.

As much as dont rate him as highly as a lot on here he is much much better than has been recently and can offer a lot more than that and its getting to point it looks like opposition are more than happy for the scrappy doo act as he starts becoming less involved in game.

Just dont think he is physically up to being the type of player he is trying to be currently and needs to get back to basics a bit if is to kick on.

Barca probably have the best group of midfielders of any club going and not easy to get minutes and shouldnt be.

Still maintain the best minutes have seen from Gavi at Barca was first half away to Mallorca last season. He was very good then and is his best role for me.

Gavi behind the wheel absolutely matches Gavi on the pitch.

Fermin was terrified. But then when they switched, the roles got reversed.

Yeah, they were both pedal to the medal.

I laughed out loud when Pedri watches them and just says that it's a miracle they didn't kill eachother.

One of the best drivers was also Inigo.

Anyway, it was interesting to see their reactions to non-football environment.

Yeah, the competitiveness of them is incredible and it totally makes sense.
How many boys/young men would instantly turn competitive if they can drive a few rounds with their friends on a speedtrack? People need to stop try to find something special in everything they do. It's just natural behaviour.
It was a funny video, some scenes a bit cringe, but overall a good team building activity.
