6 - Gavi

I don't know what his actual position is. He's mostly a jack of all trades and master of none.
And I think he's happy to be that.
He's not a DM, so can't displace Casado. I will take him ahead of Fdj, because Gavi can be that defensive beast.
He's definitely not ahead of Pedri.

Ya, he may be ahead of Fermin when we require control in the midfield. That the only position he's clearly ahead of.
Not counting Olmo as he's always broken. KEK

Flicks next task is to recover Gavi and get him playing football again.

There is absolutely no chance Gavi can play that more defensive position in double pivot better than Casado or FDJ.

Currently this season he is not in the top 2 for any of the three midfield positions performance wise.

Double pivot more defensive - Gavi absolutely cannot play there and Casado/FDJ ahead.
Double pivot more freedome - Nowhere near Pedri or FDJ there currently.
AM - Behind Olmo and Fermin on performances this season.

That role Pedri plays probably the one he can develop in the most and needs to be given time in.

As a runner at AM to press may be useful at times but also a hole in quality a lot of others if been like has been for majoriy of this season.

I think it's clear that Frenkie is far ahead of Gavi currently

Healthy problems. We're fighting on all fronts.

Flick will have to utilize the right midfield trident per opponent and freshness.

Gavi dipped in recent weeks but had a cracking SuperCopa final.

Rotations will be key, especially as guys like Olmo, Gavi and Fermin will also have to help keep the offensive trident rotated.

Media are now catching up and saying Flick needs to calm him down and focus on football more.

Start tonight and get back on track vs Rayo as most likely has to be the AM from the beginning.

I believe in the reborn Gavster if Flicky can unlock it.

Xavi indulged that side too much for my liking.

Forgot Fermin is out from his Camavinga Dani Ceballos de la Mbappe challenge.

Time for Gavi to step up, though would prefer an Dani even if Olmost fit.

This little dude needs to stop thinking anybody is afraid of him - he's a little chihuahua, all bark and no bite... he's just annoying toward his opponents, annoying like a mosquito - one slap and he's gone. If he doesn't focus on football and continues his bs Flick should bench him until he fucking does.

Opponents love him trying to act the hardman as no on is intimidated by Scrappy Doo and he gets distracted from playing football.

Hopefully tonight that changes.

But it is on all of them to play well now anyway as the run in is now on.

Fake news. He galvanizes our players. Everyone who played team sports knows how important morale is.
And yes he is fearless in pressing.

He's opposite of Frenkie who is fearful and bloodless.

Evidently hasnt been this season for vast majority of games as been better without him.

Who he 'galvanize' last week v Sevilla or week before?

Scrappy doo act at expense of what does on ball is failing.

Get back to being a footballer.

His positioning as the 10 is just abysmal. Contrast obvious when Olmo came in could have had two assists in 15 minutes, without doing much besides being in the right place.
