6 - Gavi

Should make him and Araujo fair offers that compensate them fairly, but beyond that I have no problem with selling them both if they want to chase the money in England. Hopefully neither are daft enough to mortgage their careers for a few more million over the next few years.

Situation at Barca is ideal for them to develop and establish themselves as stars. At the big English clubs they will just be seen as commodities. Tossed aside and binned on whim if some other new talent pops up, fail to adapt quickly, or suffer injuries.

They left it far too long to renew him.

I agree. An absolute amateurish mistake from Laporta and Alemany. We better do something NOW or we'll end up losing 3 players from our starting 11. We are talking about signing Christensen, Kessie and Mazraoui and in the meantime we are losing much bigger home grown talents. This should be resolved until 1st of April. There is no room for an error anymore.

True.

Sigining idiots like Kessie Mazraoui and Cdanish lenglet for 5-6mil per season while biggest midfield talent in the world earns peanuts.

Gavi is as big a talent but different strokes in terms of style. Could level out as a Koke type player equally though. Koke looked similar at a same age but then levelled out.

As for Pool, they have 2 of their own young strong talents being groomed in at midfield. So not too sure they would add Gavi to that mix.

I've just found this article.

https://www.rousingthekop.com/2022/...omenon-his-42m-release-clause-doubles-in-july

They say rumours are coming from MD but at the same time also point out this.

But there’s another factor to consider. Gavi’s release clause doubles on July 1st and while he would have just one more year on his contract, making a deal happen would be more difficult. Liverpool can trigger the bargain release clause as things stand, leaving them able to enter talks and get a deal done quickly.

Not sure if it was mentioned before or if even true.

Pedri is the biggest midfield talent. Gavi looks like a money hungry kid who can leave.

Gavi leaving would unbalance the team's midfield again, cause Pedri and De Jong can't be playing all matches, they'll need rotations to all be at their best and we'll have to pour the money we're trying to save again to find replacements

We would still have Nico and Kessie for rotations. And Busi will be a starter playing 90% of minutes until he's 40.
