Don't think Ozil is the real alternative to Coutinho. If they don't sell him now we might opt for Griezmann in summer and Liverpool will never get this amount of money for him again.

I think the point is that he isn’t available for sale.. why would his club worry about CL?... that’s the point, that’s why the fee would be so huge (although I suspect not that huge).

Clubs that don’t want to sell, don’t need to sell and have a player who started a five year contract a few months ago are bound to ask big money.

Still, I wouldn’t worry, the fee has been made up just to sell papers and attract clicks to their web site

I agree it's possible but is it wise? We should keep the balance in the squad, Suarez won't leave next summer for sure and having Messi, Suarez, Griezmann, Coutinho and Dembele could potentially create huge dis-balance in the squad. If we get Coutinho I would rather go for controlling midfielder than Griezmann next summer. None of these players would be willing to sit on the bench and to be fair it would be stupid to bench any of them considering their salaries.

I haven't seen Arthur play but if he is that good it would make much more sense to go for Coutinho + Arthur or Griezmann + Arthur than for Coutinho + Griezmann. We should aim to have competitive well balanced team and not "Harlem Globetrotters show" in the city. I might be wrong but that's my opinion.

Also there is a problem with CB possition if Masche goes to China. This should also be our top priority since we need 4 CB's.

He's still at Barcelona next season. It's not about the CL. Iniesta can't play all games probably, we might be happy if he even stays injury free. Coutinho joining would give some more possibilities because besides Iniesta, there is none with a great creative mind. And because of the shitty transfers last years, the club doesn't have time for young talent to develop. Barcelona was to late to replace Xavi, and they are to late to replace Iniesta. They should have bought someone years, that could learn the style of play and adapt.
