It's gotta be mental. It's not like he woke up one day, out of the blue and lost both his technique & his mojo. Dude's got the skills. He just needs to get back in the groove.

Coutinho is an extreme "flow" type of player (the germans have a better word for it)
He needs to get some good games or he wont get better.
Messi is kinda the similiar, he can dissapear when things doesnt go his way, but when it does hes unstopable.
The ceiling is very high though imo, he was arguably one of the best players in WC.
I wish nothing more than to get him back to his best, he had some really promosing games at the start when he played AM.
Why hes playing LW all the time now is baffling. Dembele, Suarez and Messi with Coutinho, Arthur and Busquetes behind them is such an obvious lineup to play.

Liked Hristo's public letter to him a lot. We need more past legends publicly voicing their support for players, in particular new ones who are struggling like Coutinho. I am not a fan of Coutinho at all but as long as he is a Barça player he should get all the support he needs.

In fact I believe that Coutinho regaining his form and reaching the level that he reached with Liverpool at the end of his career there, could be a massive boost for our CL chances. However unless Valverde does not realize that Coutinho is not a winger and that he should be partnered with 2 midfielders (preferably Arthur and Busquets), it won't give the team the firepower that a Coutinho alongside Suárez, Messi and Dembélé otherwise could and would.

This guy is a shit player, and he should be treated as a shit player. Give him some Malcom treatment, 1 month on the stands. He is just a glorified Denis/Rafinha, only playing because of his huge price tag. Lets hope some club is foolish enough to buy him, take the loss an be done with it.
