A bit of both, everyone is quick to call players generational these days, only Mbappe can really call himself that BUT put Pedri under a manager who has a system and he'll shine.

A manager with a clear idea would do wonders, put him under Pep for example and I'm sure we'd see a different Pedri. won't lie though, his passiveness and lack of pace is a concern

When I look at his game, his facial expression, his movement, I get the feeling that the day before the match he unloaded cars all night.

This guy would be world class in a regular club. Nobody fucking makes any run or mouvement for him in the final third. He keeps dribling and dribling at the edge waiting for some sort of a demarcation but nothing happens so he passes. After today I'm convinced it's not his fault at all.

Not really he was in final third and had to try more of that but lost ball far too easily too many times and lacked awareness.

The amount of times FDJ and Gundo played quick ball to him in those areas and he fluffed lines was infuriating.

Some decent moments but was very poor overall.

No that blame him as dont think he suits getting ball that high as often as does and with back to defenders etc.

He is just weak, physically and mentally. Passive when it comes to movement in the final third.

He represents both good and bad sides of current Barca.

Its worrying. I dont think we should just look at his age and say he's young, that he'll kick on soon.

He may be 21 but he has accumulated a gametime of the average 24-25 year old, that cannot be good for his longevity.

His minutes played to date at club level is nothing huge for a 21 year old.

Bellingham for example has played a lot more as had Mbappe and Haaland at 21.

He has played around 1700 minutes which is more or less 130 odd full games.

Still i hope Xavi will continue to play him as a 10 for the rest of season. That may help Pedri himself.

But there should be more instruction from Xavi.

The wide players dont suit being touchline wingers and Pedri doesnt suit being that high up.

Wider players in near Lewa and Pedri deeper suits them all better.

The issue is then any quality from wide but lesser evil and crossing from touchline now a huge thing currently in football anyway.

Pedri up beside Lewa and wide players posted on sidelines if horredous for every one of them.
