Yes, at least the author tries it and makes some strange statements. He says that Luis grew up in a very difficult way. His father left his mothers (his mother had to work hard for little money) and Suarez tried to get over it with drinking alcohol and making party. When he was 15, he met a girl with who he fell in love with. Unfortunately she moved to Europe with her family. Luis was shocked and sad. Apparently he was at his girlfriend's house very often and enjoyed the ''family life'' there.
He decided to work hard because he thought that the only way to get to Europe was becoming a football star. He managed it as we all know.
Yup. He said in an interview a few years ago that he went after the girl he loved and that football was the only way to reach her because he had no money and couldn't pay for school.

The journalist even added at the time that it's quite rare when footballers stick with their first love. Usually they collect girls like they collect money.

It's the same between TS and his wife.

The pattern is that in both cases they met when they were poor. In the case of TS, she was at his bedside when he was ill. They were fiancée and she moved to europe with no money to be beside him because doctors said he will die.

That's a change from the Ribery/Benzema/Giroud prostitutes and underaged girls orgy stories :messi:

Is that Sofia Balbi with who he is married now, and whose parents live in Casteldefells? Or another girl?

I feel bad for him now. I think he should see a psychologist to seek help for this.

Yup I feel sympathy with him now. The man leaves everything on the pitch. He has my respect

The guy is a wreck. Footballers have to remain their calm on the pitch. You can't do this, let alone do it three times. Give him a 6-months ban, does it happen once again? Life time ban.

Everybody rushed to stone him to death refusing to try to underestand why he behaves like that in the first place...

So Uruguay are gonna tell FIFA that its photoshopped. What are they gonna say about the videos then? The official broadcast?

His friends and former mentors struggle to explain a complicated idea. They protect him, and explain away his extreme actions, because they sense the desperation buried inside of him and don't know how to articulate it. Basically, the theory goes, anything that threatens his ability to score, and win, isn't processed in his subconscious as the act of a sportsman but, rather, as an act of aggression against his wife and his children. Watching him play certainly supports the idea because, when a defender presses close, Suarez doesn't respond as if the man is trying to take the ball. He reacts as if the defender is trying to send him back to the streets of Montevideo, alone.
