If he has a mental problem like that article implies then it's sad, I've had flashbacks before too and you're not yourself when it happens. But a professional like him NEEDS to get help for something like that (either on his own, or someone needs to convince him if he is too proud to admit he needs help)... the lying and denying by both him and his colleagues when he does something clearly wrong just makes things worse. Feeling pity for him only goes so far, he has to meet us halfway here.

I agree with you. However, it's not easy to find help when you suffer such a disease. It's a fact that he gets help from Liverpool's psychologist which appears to be great for him because he didn't have such an excess. He needs permament help but I don't see a prick in him, unlike many other people here. He has some serious problems, caused of many factors in his youth but he always gives his all on the pitch. He is a very dirty player but sometimes you need players like that. Think of Kahn, Effenberg, Gattuso, Van Bommel etc. But that was not your point, sorry  I have much to say

He should get help from specialists and he should realize that he is sick. It's not okay that he denies what he did, I fully agree with you here. But it seems that he already gets help in Liverpool, tries to improve his mental status. I can remember him crying after he got the ban. I am fully convinced that he doesn't want to be like that. He seems like a very nice and humble guy too. There is no need to put all the blame on him.

And I want to add something. Many people here say that Suarez should not be signed because of the slogan ''Mes que un club''.
To me, the slogan insists that we should sign him despite his excesses. He is a world-class footballer after all. He needs help and for me ''mes que un club'' is help and support
This is ''Mes que un club'' and everyone deservers to be treated properly.
He SEEMS TO BE a very good guy but with a ''bad side'' who needs help but suddenly people say that he shouldn't come here because of the humanity which is one value of Barca.
To me, humanity is helping people out of serious illnesses instead of insulting them and not even regarding the condition he suffers under.

I'm just finding interesting that some that crucify pepe are defending Suarez, just because he might be signed for Barça. I wonder what these people will say if he signs for rm :p

El Animal is a stupid mean and hateful creature at least on the pitch. Suarez is more like a little deranged kiddo by comparison.

I find it more interesting that you put Pepe and Suarez in the same line though. Poor example.

Agreed.

It's the same to me. Lack of sportsmanship, mental problems, however you see it. One bites and is a racist, the other kicks. Both are dirty players.

Pepe did it a lot more frequent and distructive agressions which usually led into much more pain and damage inflicted without any kind of remorse or awarness of what he did. Tons of serious examples. Really poor comparsion to be made between him and Suarez indeed, a whole different story.

You might say Costa is the same with Pepe and Suarez ?

Of course Costa is a dirty player. All of that sound like excuses. Suarez has a mental problem and needs help, then Pepe does too. The way they express their crazyness may differ, but it's the same principle to me. Both are crazy dirty players. You can't excuse one, saying he is an animal because of his tackles or that he has no remorse, and then say the other that bites(an animalistic thing) is "less worse" because he "just bites". And the worst thing he did was to racially abuse evra, but that somehow gets under the radar.

If what Suarez does is excusable, than what Pepe does is too.
