Liverpool are getting the heavier end of the stick here. 9 league games, 3 champs league games and a league cup game. Yet only 9 Uruguay games.

Can't read?

It's not harsh because it's the 3rd time and this is something else than a sliding that can be a little too hard. It would be laughable if they ban him for a short time. They would lose their credibillity.

That ship has sailed .

It's unfair punishment when it's a one off.. it's very fair when you consider this is the third offense of the same nature and in front of millions of viewers much more than a Liverpool - Chelsea or Ajax-PSV
Before you say anything consider what will Pepe have if he did the same shit he did against Getafe in the world cup ? a Ban for 3-4 years.. that's how FIFA roll
tackles and injuries are part of football and punishable within the rules.. biting isn't ..

Third time offender of a minor but unsightly incident should be punished 1000 times more severely than a first time offender of a major and far worse incident?!?!?!?!? Makes absolutely no sense.

That like equating the punishment of a 3rd time petty thief to a first time attempted murderer. There is no logic behind it.

Pepe and Costa did a headbutt in two WC matches with similarly high viewer count. Nothing happened to Costa and Pepe got a small punishment.

The world was also watching every time Fifa Sanctioned teams for racism with a few thousand Swiss Francs. All kinds of deliberate elbows have broken noses in world cups and didn't get anywhere near as harsh punishments. How many matches did the world have to suffer watching Byron Moreno officiate? Now though, they care about the eyes of the public. Fuck Fifa.

Yes, FIFA and the vocal majority of the general public have lost any sense of commensurability or never had it to begin with. On top of that, the decision makes no sense, no matter how you slice it: It's either too low or too high, as I pointed out below.

What's worse, the DC based its' decision on one video on which the bite was supposed to be seen. I repeat, ONE. They didn't even find the time nor effort to confirm whether the marks on Chiellinis shoulder have been there before or not and if they were caused by the bite or not. This is basically begging for an appeal. I understand that the DC is under time pressure here, but this is just sloppy and not a form of concluding reasoning.

The hell you're talking about?!?!? No one is saying FIFA is wrong for punishing Suarez. It is the harshness of the punishment that some take issue with. Specially considering significantly worse offenses get by unpunished and/or punished a hell of a lot less than this.

Yep!
Some people here love too much riding the moralist horse...

Do you consider Pepe on Muller a headbutt ? really Hammy.. it was a touch .... and he was red carded for it.. Suarez not only escaped punishment he pretended he was hurt
compare to Zidane punishment in the final of 2006 , Red card & 3 match suspension & 3 days of community service

Tassoti Elbow to Lucho was an 8 match ban , Leonardo to Tab Ramos 4 match ban (if I remember correctly ) yet Suarez just last year was handed a 10 match ban for similar act and FIFA said wide & clear that Suarez punishment will not be separate from his history as an offender of the same act... there is no rules in football regarding biting however if Suarez was an HIV positive player he is causing fatality to other players with his bites
the English FA handed Saurez a 10 match ban last season & a year later in the World cup he pull the same shit.. it's normal you INCREASE the punishment ..maybe he will seek treatment

Pepe has done worse things than Suarez and didn't get ban from football  @FIFA. I hope football ban will be reduced to 2 months and Barca will buy him anyway.

Gio, I think he should have had a longer match ban and scrap the silly "ban from football activities". Even community service would have been better.

It's not the first time Pepe and Costa did violent conduct yet they get a ban like its a first time offence (Costa got nothing)
