pretty much any other player would have done the same in that situation. your team still has the chance to get to a WC semi final but with only minutes left to go, the ball is heading into your net and you're on the goal line. the instinctive reaction for most people would be to try and stop it from going in at any cost. obviously it didn't go unnoticed and he was punished under the rules. Ghana then had the chance to score a penalty and Gyan fucked it up. of course Suárez celebrated, his team were going through to a WC semi final.
