He worked A LOT with the psychologist at Liverpool last season.

It'll probably be a psychologist, not psychiatrist. I think he had one at liverpool.

Nothing like that. If Barca arranges for his treatment it is(will) obviously discussed personally between Suarez and club representatives. Otherwise it won't.

We already have a sports psychologist. And no, he probably meant psychologist. Since there is an inherent difference between psychologists and psychiatrists. The former studies the psyche and mental processes whilst the latter studies and diagnoses mental illnesses.

 A sports psychologist I understand since they pretty much act like coaches and guide players on how to react to different situations and circumstances on the pitch (or just dealing with stresses). A psychiatrist, as KingMessi said, would indicate that the club consider him mentally ill and are thinking about putting him on some sort of medication.

Sounds like the deal might be done.

Not long before Germany finished Germanying France, reports from both sides of the divide (England and Spain) are claiming a deal has been made with Liverpool FC for the transfer of one Luis Suárez. Spanish football insiders Guillem Balague and Graham Hunter are amongst those reporting, with the latter stating that the amount is 79.2 million euros (which agrees quite closely to other sources) and he would sign a five year deal. Indications are the only area of disagreement remaining is the structure of paying the fee. There is a general consensus that the deal should be made official before the weekend is up.

Not a bad deal by any means.

Anyone else remember when Barca had morals?

I can't believe that we're quite willing to spunk £80m on someone with Suarez's mentality and past misdemeanours. Even more unbelievable is the fact we're willing to spend this money on Suarez when we've been needing a CB for 3 years yet Zubi et al seem obsessed with chasing just one target over the course of a summer and not paying serious sums to get them.

RIP Pep's club.

Not a bad deal if it's true. I was expecting us to pay at least 90.

Why I'm relieved really. One of the best in the world for 80m isn't bad in the slightest. And if we can get a fair amount of cash for Sanchez then fingers crossed for a world class CB.

To be fair then I'll rather trust The Guardian and The Telegraph than MD, SPORT, AS and even CatRadio(I know how reliable they are).

Liverpool are the club selling so I'll believe their sources (english media) than the Barcelona sources (The others)

I don't care about the money. He is a better player than Alexis and probably a better fit for our team as well... So I'm excited

Difference in fee between English and Spanish media probably stems from the amount of variables. I fully trust Xavi Torres when he says we'll pay 80m but expect there to be variables of up to 15m.

Same, especially after Bale transfer since spanish medias tried hard to hide he did cost 100M+ euros.

If The Guardian says:
The fee falls short of Liverpool’s initial £80m valuation, and has not been accepted, but both sides appear convinced a deal can be done after their face-to-face negotiations over the 27-year-old. Barcelona are believed to be willing to pay a straight cash sum for Suárez or to include Alexis Sánchez as a makeweight, as Liverpool had requested.

A second round of talks has not been scheduled but negotiations will continue over the coming days, with Liverpool close to getting their asking price for Suárez after cordial and constructive talks with the delegation from Barcelona. A Liverpool source said: “The talks were productive. There were sensible expectations on both sides and there will be further discussions to take place. But nothing is finalised as of now.”

It makes no sense to refuse £70M and accept less 1 day later.

Still waiting which numbers liverpool sources will give to TG and TT. I don't trust spanish medias at all about those numbers.

He's coming. So it's time to accept it and support him.
So because PSG recruited DL i should now cheer him and accept his defaults? :xavi:

People have the right to dislike suarez if they want even if he joins Barcelona because the logic you put upfront makes no sense.

Or because you now have a qatar sponsor you should support qatar? From what i read here, most don't and it's their right and most of them have arguments to defend their pov.
