In what way does a game against Huesca help him? Villa also scored spectacular goals in the Copa 2 years ago, and then he went to shit again when we played in the Liga.

For Villa, it was just him not getting back to the level he had before his injury and slowly getting over the hill. For Suárez, it's a confidence issue. A couple of goals that weren't easy tap ins or rebounds could have helped him regain some of it.

I don't think that`s true. At the level of Suarez, confidence isn't build by scoring hattricks against 3rd Liga teams. He would get no joy out of it, knowing full well that Huesca woudnt have a fighting chance. Its like a grown man beating a 10 year old in any sport. Its no challenge, your not boosting your confidence that way. You do it by scoring in the same fashion as he did against Apoel, a goal created by him. And then repeating that week after week.

Which is my point. Look at Pedro for instance. He's been quite good since his goal in the first leg against Huesca, hasn't he? He has gone on and scored against Espanyol and had a good performance against PSG. It might've been the case for Suárez as well for all we know. As for him not getting joy out of it, that's false. Every single striker loves scoring goals independent on the quality of the opponents.

I just hope Lucho from now on let Suárez play as much as possible. There's no need to rest him while he is still trying to fit in.

I wonder how many top strikers it will take before people will start realising that with our current playing style and Messi nobody is every going to do what did they for their previous club for Barça.
